Thomas Strohmer is Professor of Mathematics at the University of California, Davis. He is the Director of the Center for Data Science and Artificial Intelligence Research (CeDAR). His research interests are mathematics of data science, machine learning, applied harmonic analysis, mathematics of information, numerical algorithms, mathematical signal- and image processing, and optimization. Dr. Strohmer is on the editorial board of several journals. He also serves as consultant to industry in the areas of telecommunications, bioengineering, and signal- and image processing.
