The Administrative Core will assure NCIBT meets its overall goal and annual milestones. Its  leaders  will  oversee  scientific  activities,  foster  synergism,  manage  operations  and  finance,  marshal  and  deploy  Institutional  Support,  and  interact  with  the  Executive Committee,  External Advisory Board,  Internal Advisory Board,  and  National Institutes of Health. 

Drs. Marcu and Harsh share responsibility for assuring NCIBT success. Both PIs have effectively managed large programs and significantly contributed to science and medicine; their different backgrounds and areas of expertise complement each other in ensuring the success of the NCIBT.  Dr.  Marcu will oversee NCIBT scientific activities, Dr. Harsh will contribute medical perspective.  Dr.  Harsh, highly experienced in medical education and training, will oversee Training and Dissemination; Dr. Marcu will contribute her experience as educator and mentor.
