Dr. Aijun Wang is a Chancellor's Fellow, professor of surgery and biomedical engineering, Co-Director of the Surgical Bioengineering Laboratory and Vice Chair for Translational Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship in the Department of Surgery, UC Davis School of Medicine. Dr. Wang's research interests center on the development of novel technologies to engineer and combine stem cells and biomaterials for tissue regeneration. Dr. Wang lab’s research involves stem cell biology, developmental biology, biomedical engineering, and preclinical and IND (Investigational New Drug) enabling studies for a number of products and technologies. His lab has developed a series of technologies to engineer stem cells, stem cell-derived extracellular vesicles, and extracellular matrix biomaterial scaffolds for surgical applications and tissue regeneration.
